Description
Based on their iconic Penguin hull, the QK Shearwater boasts a modern deck/cockpit with more leg and foot room. A padded seat and backrest for all-day comfort, and a stronger, easy-lift rudder system, are some of the improvements, but you still get the speed, stability, and self-rescue ability of the original.
Features include compass mount, paddle rescue system and security rescue bar.
Melanie and Max Grant used the Shearwater and Skua sea kayaks when circumnavigating the South Island by sea kayak. “At times there were big seas and rough landings, but our QK sea kayaks handled the conditions perfectly.”
