QK Skua expedition sea kayak
The fastest plastic single in the QK sea kayak range.
Designed for long distance self-supported expeditions in varying sea conditions. The Skua has a low deck profile enabling it to perform extremely well in windy conditions, while its longer hull gives greater speed and allows it to surf waves controllably in a following sea.
The Skua incorporates several new features that ensure maximum safety on the sea, including adjustable thigh braces, paddle holder, rescue system and an easily-accessible day hatch behind the cockpit.
Max & Melanie Grant used the Shearwater and Skua sea kayaks when circumnavigating the South Island. “At times there were big seas and rough landings, but our lightweight kayaks handled the conditions perfectly.”
